What we will do

If you join, we plan to create an interactive visualization based on your public 23andMe data. We'll ask you to share your username with us, and permission to send you messages through Open Humans. Once our study is ready, we'll send you a message and invite you to join.

In our study, we will invite you to explore your personal genomics through our GenomiX tool, at your own leisure, and respond to short, periodic questionnaires about your experiences with the tool over the next three months. We will collect information about your usage of the tool, along with an anonymous identifier. This data will saved on a secure server and will only be used in aggregate (added together with the data of other users) to identify trends in usage of this application.

About public 23andMe data

Our study is currently limited to working with public genetic data. Open Humans members can publicly share their data via the Public Data Sharing study. If you've enrolled in that study and chosen to publicly share your 23andMe data on Open Humans, you'll be eligible for participating in this study.
